Brett’s Open Mic: Celebrating 30 Years
Loose Leaf Gallery
Durham Food Hall
530 Foster St.
For three decades, Brett Chambers has been a pioneer of Durham’s open mic scene—welcoming musicians, singers, poets and dancing crowds to share their art and connect through the power of live performance.
”Brett’s Open Mic: Thirty Years” is an exhibition that honors the rich history and community spirit of Brett’s Open Mic, featuring three decades of photographs and portraits that tell the stories behind the music. Join us in celebrating a true Durham cultural legacy!
Co-presented by Conjured Commons and Words That Work™
Rooted in the power of community, Conjured Commons is a monthly takeover of space, sound, and story — spotlighting artists, musicians, and makers without gatekeeping, gallery fees, or pretense. We believe in no-commission spaces. We believe in creative collisions. We believe the Durham Central Park District is yet another reason to love Durham. We welcome all. Come gather. Come witness. Come belong.
